About the Association

The Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists (IAMM) is the premier professional body of medical microbiologists in India. Established to promote the science and practice of medical microbiology, IAMM plays a pivotal role in advancing education, research, and clinical practice in the specialty.

Through its national and state chapters, annual conferences, workshops, and publications, IAMM fosters continuous professional development and sets standards for diagnostic microbiology services across the country.

IAMM Maharashtra Chapter

The Maharashtra Chapter of IAMM is one of the most active state chapters, regularly organizing scientific meetings, continuing medical education programmes, and the annual state conference – MahaMicroCon. The chapter serves as a vital link between medical microbiologists working in medical colleges, hospitals, research institutions, and diagnostic laboratories across the state.

Through its activities, the Maharashtra Chapter contributes significantly to capacity building, dissemination of best practices, and advocacy on issues related to laboratory medicine and infectious disease control.
